Curry leaves are aromatic leaves that come from the curry tree. Curry leaves are used to infuse dishes with a subtle and unique flavour.
Uses - One of the most common uses is in the tempering process (tadka), where curry leaves are added to hot oil along with other spices like mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and dried red chilies. This tempering is then poured over dishes to enhance their flavour.
Storage tips - Place the dry curry leaves in an airtight container. Line the bottom of the container with a paper towel or tissue, spread the leaves in a single layer, and cover them with another layer of paper towel before sealing the container.
